Of: I wish you to have a relaxing holiday.

Consolidate the usage of infinite.

Stage 3 Pre-stage                                          (3 minutes)

      Step 1 Vocabulary presentation and practice

            Show some pictures to them about the new words and get students to learn them.

Knowing the new words will make the listening easier and better for students.

      Step 2 Prediction

            Question1: If you are a guide, which place do you want to introduce to visitors first? Why?

             Show them three places to choose from (Fuji Mountain, Great Wall, and Three Gorges).

            Question 2: If you work in the Three Gorge Travel Agency, how will you advertise the Three Gorges to the visitors?

Arouse students’ interest in traveling, especially to the Three Gorges.

Stage 4 While-stage                                       (16 minutes)

      Step 1 Listen to the material 1 for the first time to get the main idea of it and choose the right answer.

  Let students get the main idea of this listening material.

      Step 2 Listen to the material again to put down some key words and the fill in the tables. 

Improve students’ listening skills about getting the specific information.

      Step 3 Listen to the material 2 twice and do the true or false questions. If it is false, try to correct it.

Stage 5 Post-stage

             According to some key words, ask students to retell what Joey said about her tour to the Three Gorges with the help of some key words.

              In this class, students have listened to how the Travel Agency describes the Three Gorges and a person’s tour to the Three Gorges. Thus, students have got a lot of information about the Three Gorges. And students tried to talk about it in their own words. With some information about Baidi city, students have made a dialogue with their partners about Baidi city. That is to say, students have known how to talk about scenic spots, especially spots along Yangtze River.

             Make students know what they have learned in this class. So they can card their ideas.
